The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said:

Disasters can hit this world in many different shapes, forms and sizes.  Disasters can be in the shape of war and conflicts.  Disasters can be in the form of natural phenomenon such as earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons and tsunamis.  Disasters can be in the form of epidemics, diseases and famine.

 

One thing is for sure, disasters do not discriminate and they often leave a huge trail of suffering behind.  It has been reported that 90% of natural disaster related deaths occur in developing countries.  These are countries and people that are already suffering hugely from poverty.

 

The relief that is needed in times such as this includes food, water, shelter, medical aid, clothing, hygiene products, household essentials etc.

 

FI'SABIL'ILLAH UK will work with its partners, already on the ground, to identify specific items that are most needed.  We will then look to fund these specific items, whether it be food parcels, clothing, tents, toiletries etc.
